Let's catch Fairy Dust

Journal Entry: Thu Jan 19, 2012, 9:34 AM

Hi everyone!

I started my journey with ooak dolls in 2009. One day I saw a pixie on the human hand. When I found out that it was handmade and sculpted in polymer clay, I couldn't sleep until I tried myself. The beginning wasn't easy, but I'm glad that I didn't give up. This is the best thing that happened to me in my life! I'm still learning and it gives me great joy : )

Sorry, but I do not take commissions or requests. I might open a small slot for this type of thing in future, but not for the time being.

Thank you so much to everyone for the favs, watches and comments. I'm really thankful for every second of your attention!

I am self-taught. I watched the work of others. And their Work In Progress photos.
Try to search google for "ooak fairy tutorial" or "ooak fairy wip (work in progress)"
And here is very big help by Nadiia Evans:

Wow!! Your artwork is beautiful... You wouldn't have happened to see Michelle Bradshaw's work, would you (pixiwillow)? Because your sculptures are as beautiful as hers... You have a lot of knowledge about the human body and emotions for you to make them so lifelike!

I have been wanting to try my hand at sculpting for quite a few years... Any tips? XD

Thank you very much!

Yes, I have seen pixiwillow's work! Very beautiful!

Hmm... tips? I don't know :D Maybe study human anatomy and observe work in progress of others.
I started in 2009 and at the beginning I was disappointed in my fairies, I almost gave up :)
